Mexican dishes are known to be colorful, spicy, firey, delicious, fun, fresh and vibrant! After over 300years of being ruled by Spain, Mexican cuisine and culture obviously has a large Spanish influence which blended with that of the indigenous Indians to birth what we fondly know as Mexican cuisine. This flavor filled cuisine has a very large variety of chilies that are used either dried or fresh with a combination of herbs such as cilantro and thyme, and spices like cumin, cloves and cinnamon. Combined, these herbs and spices give the Mexican cuisine a very distinctive, flavor-filled taste.
